Mission & Purpose
The Maranatha Bible Society is a Spirit-led fellowship searching the Holy Scriptures for the truth in God’s Word to the church which is His Body. We are of those who feel that man-made denominations and the traditions of men have departed from the truth of God’s Word. We hunger and thirst for the truth that we love. We are hungry for the nourishment of the meat of God’s Word, as the milk no longer satisfies our souls.
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line;
here a little, and there a little:… (Isa 28:9-10)
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are full of age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:12-14)
Our intent is to glorify God and Christ and to edify the saints by manifestation of the truth. The purpose of this Web site is to humbly make available to those interested our studies in the word of truth. For over a quarter of a century we have gone directly to the source, and have been studying the Bible for what God has to teach us. He has graciously given us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of our understanding being enlightened; that we may know what is the hope of our calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. For that we are deeply grateful. We always search and research God’s word to verify any man’s teaching.
We all come from various backgrounds and experiences into the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We all come from man-made denominations bound by ceremony and ordinances. We all come from years of erroneous teaching. We are common folk; not scholars, not theologians, not Doctors of Divinity. We are not ordained by men. We are not infallible. We are only perfect and complete in Christ. The Lord has drawn us together by his Spirit to teach us what the true church is, and our position in it.
If you are no longer satisfied with Spiritual milk and hunger for the meat of God’s Word, then the content of this Web site may be for you. There is a word of caution. What you learn may be quite a departure from your current beliefs and the traditional teachings of organized religion. May Divine Providence lead you in God’s truth.
The contents of this Web site may cover a span of learning and teaching for over 25 years. There may be some discrepancies due to the progressive nature in understanding God’s Word. Bible study is ever teaching, and progresses without end. We are always learning. The views expressed by individual teachers may not represent the views of all members.
